Incoming 7th-9th Grade Student Registration

The steps below contain important information for incoming 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students enrolling at Morgan Park High School for the 2024-2025 school year:

Everything begins with the Registration / Enrollment process. Your student needs to be fully registered at Morgan Park High School, and have completed the in-person Registration / Enrollment process, to participate in any of the programs below.  Students who do not complete the Registration / Enrollment process will not have schedules on Day 1 of the 2024-2025 school year.
  • Incoming Academic Center Students (7th and 8th Grade students) must have accepted a seat through GoCPS for acceptance for the 2024-2025 school year.
  • Incoming 9th Grade Students must have:
    • Accepted a seat through GoCPS, or
    • Live within Morgan Park’s Attendance Area
 

The Registration / Enrollment process is complete when your student has selected courses for the 2024-2025 school year. If your student has selected courses in April / May, you are done with this process and can review the summer opportunities below. 

If you have yet to complete the Registration / Enrollment process, please review these required steps:

 

Step 1: Complete the Online Registration Form

This form provides Morgan Park High School with your student’s demographic and contact information to expedite the registration process.  This form must be completed before finalizing your student’s enrollment, in-person, in Step 2.
Step 2: Attend an In-Person Registration Session & Choose Classes
Families will attend a Group Registration Session.

For Group Registration Sessions, families must bring hard copies of the required registration documents.  The required documents are linked below: 

 
FINAL-FINAL-FINAL Group Registration Dates (for Summer 2024):
    • Wednesday, July 31 from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. (open enrollment)
    • Thursday, August 1, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. (open enrollment)
    • Tuesday, August 6 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. (open enrollment)
    • Wednesday, August 7, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. (open enrollment)
  • Group Registration Sessions will include personnel from Morgan Park Athletics, JROTC, & other stakeholders.

5. Incoming Student Orientation & Start of School Information:

Incoming 7th / 8th / 9th Grade Student Orientation is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, August 15th. Families will receive a finalized date / time by July 1, 2024.  

 

The first day of school is Monday, August 26th at 7:30 a.m.  Morgan Park recommends that students arrive early on Day 1 to provide extra time to enter the building and arrive to classes.
